SemiGen is the Semigray Greenhouse Scheme Generator. Want a fairly simple way to estimate planet temperatures? This program uses a simple power-law approximation to find the greenhouse effect of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane on a planet's atmosphere. It applies the results to Venus, Earth, and Mars. You pick the values, the program does the calculations. Comes with an extensive index of help topics.
USSA-76 gives the air density, pressure, and temperature at a given altitude according to the 1976 US Standard Atmosphere. Comes with help topics and charts of constants and unit conversions.
A word processor like MS WordPad, but with a tabbed interface capable of handling several documents at once. It can change font, spacing, colors; insert special characters; add headers, print, print preview, etc. Try it! A lot more user-friendly than you-know-what.
